Debby Stone, JD, CPCC, PCC

dls headshot cropped 9 14Debby Stone is the founder of Novateur Partners, a company that provides executive coaching and leadership development consulting to lawyers, entrepreneurs and business leaders.  Debby works with clients to develop and implement practical strategies to become more successful both professionally and personally.  Debby also leads groups, workshops and retreats focusing on skill-building and improving the effectiveness of teams.  Whether coaching or speaking, she always combines her coaching skills, extensive business experience, and entrepreneurial creativity to help her clients attain their goals more quickly and easily.

Debby is the author of The Art of Self-Promotion: Tell Your Story; Transform Your Career.  She has been featured in several other books including 45 is the New 25 and Good Enough is the New Perfect and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Report, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and numerous other publications.  Debby served as a senior editor and contributing writer for The Complete Lawyer e-zine, has been a columnist for several Atlanta area periodicals, and created and hosted the “Practical Strategies for Business Success” show on AM Radio 1620.

Debby earned her coaching certification through the Coaches Training Institute and holds the Professional Certified Coach accreditation through the International Coach Federation. She is a Certified Consultant for the Highlands Ability Battery, is certified to deliver the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and is certified to work with the Center for Creative Leadership’s 360 Assessment tools.

Prior to embarking on her coaching career in 2002, Debby practiced law for 16 years and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company.  She graduated magna cum laude from Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy and a holds a JD with High Honors from the Duke University School of Law.

In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of ProWIN, Debby is a Past President of the organization. She is also an active member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.  Debby has served as President of the Georgia Chapter of the International Coach Federation and as a mentor in the Pathbuilders Achieva program.  She enjoys running, traveling and reading.  She is also an avid Duke basketball fan.  Although Debby’s work knows no geographic boundaries, she and her husband live in Atlanta.
