Mary Quat is Director of Foundation Relations for Kennesaw State University, which is now one of the 50 largest universities in the country. Over the past three years, she has developed a corporate and foundation fundraising program for Kennesaw, growing the totals each year. Last year, Mary’s unit raised a record high for Kennesaw State in corporate and foundation funding. An accomplished grant writer, Mary is presently proposing Kennesaw State initiatives to national foundations.
Mary began her career in development in nonprofit agencies working for Campfire Boys and Girls and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is a winner of the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council IMPACT Award.
Prior to a career in development, Mary was a newspaper reporter and communications director in Connecticut. While staying home with her two children, she served in leadership positions for many community organizations, including PTA and on the State Board of Directors for Connecticut Junior Women. She was Woman of the Year for Cromwell Junior Women. Her first fundraising effort acquired capital to landscape a city park.
For the past three years, Mary has been the secretary for the ProWIN Board of Directors. She joined ProWIN five years ago and has enjoyed every aspect of the organization – particularly the company of the amazing women!
