Joy Dyess works as the Special Projects Manager, VP, for BankSouth Mortgage. In this position, Joy supports executive and senior level leaders, focuses on project management of strategic initiatives, communication initiatives and leads the administrative staff that supports our Builder and Alliance Services Group. In addition to these roles, Joy also leads the Social Responsibility committee, which focuses on our employee engagement, philanthropic and wellness initiatives. In her prior roles with the organization, Joy was the Mortgage Banker Assistant Manager, where she managed and trained 25 mortgage banker assistants, who function as support to our sales staff and supported Production leadership.
Outside of BankSouth, Joy is a recent graduate of Leadership Buckhead and is a returning Board member of the Junior League of Atlanta (an organization with 3500 members), where she serves as the Vice President of Membership. In addition to her service with JLA, Joy is also in the Young Professionals Council for United Way and the Young Professionals Council for The Midtown Assistance Center. Joy earned her Bachelors in English Literature from Florida State University. Joy lives in Marietta with her husband David and two Jack Russell Terriers, Apple and Mac.
