Carmen believes in the power of relationship building and connecting with others in a personal and “needs-driven” way. She embraces the philosophy of listening more than speaking and the power of understanding the personality behind the business. She has been a frequent table host at ProWIN luncheons.
In 2013, she became qualified as a CRA, a Certified Risk Manager. As a CRA, she services as an outsourced risk manager for the middle market, growth-oriented businesses, using diagnostic and consultative risk management. She has assisted numerous employers in the Atlanta area with their compliance efforts and helping them develop proactive risk management policies and procedures.
Carmen teaches workshops certified by HRCI for PHR and SPHR CP credits and has spoken often at SHRM and Chamber of Commerce meetings. She has served in various chair position for SHRM in both the Atlanta and Gainesville areas. In 2014, she served as Program Chair for Women in Technology, Forums and Socials.
She is involved with her church family, is an avid runner and will run the Boston Marathon in April 2019. She enjoys weight training and swimming, and spending time with her three adult children in Alaska, Texas and Tennessee, along with their spouses and two toddler granddaughters!
