Laura Doman is an actor, media communications coach, speaker, and author. As a performer, she appears regularly in films, TV, commercials, and industrials and provides voice overs for both broadcast and non-broadcast (corporate) productions. As a coach, Laura helps business professionals and entrepreneurs become more comfortable and charismatic speaking on camera themselves for videos, Zoom presentations, and online appearances. She bridges the worlds of business and entertainment, bringing the best of both to each other through years of experience as a screen and voice actor, improv performer, and former corporate IT sales exec.

Laura is a frequent speaker at conferences and business meetings, most often on her signature topic, "On Camera Confidence: Secrets from the Acting World." She also appears regularly on webinars and podcasts and is the co-author of "The Most Amazing Marketing Book Ever" with 35 other marketing specialists worldwide.

     I am a facilitator and financial educator with How Money Works. Our mission – indeed, our passion – is to erase financial illiteracy in the US and Canada. Through our classes, other tools, and one-on-one guidance, we empower individuals and families to make better decisions about money and help them achieve their goals over time. Financial education not only helps the individual, but it can change the entire trajectory of a family for generations.

     I began my working career as an engineer in the oil and natural gas industry. After a few years, I was looking to be part of something bigger. Therefore, I became an officer in the US Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps, attaining my Professional Engineer (PE) credential. This career culminated with my designation as second-in-command of a 600-person Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, more commonly known as the Seabees.

     After my Navy career I launched my first entrepreneurial venture as a fundraising copywriter. Based on what my clients shared, my letters and other communications helped raise over $20 million for various nonprofit organizations. Ultimately, the pull of the engineering world was too strong, and I returned to facilities management. I managed a 190-person staff on a $23 million facilities contract to maintain a 15-story & 17-story, $2.6 billion government building complex through the Covid era.

     Following a move to Georgia in 2021, I joined my husband in his work with How Money Works. Working with families is so rewarding – as is working side-by-side with my spouse. When not working, I can easily get lost in my photography which is another passion of mine.

Camille is the Owner and Manager of Biz Mercado + Pro Consulting, where she leads with a commitment to clarity, strategy, and support.  As an Accountant and Certified Tax Advisor, she partners with individuals and small businesses to simplify complex finances, reduce tax burdens, and build smart, sustainable growth plans. She is passionate about helping others make confident financial decisions and believes success is most rewarding when it's shared.

Camille holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rockford University in Rockford, Illinois. She is currently pursuing both her CPA and J.D. degree. When she is not working, homeschooling, or studying, Camille loves spending time with her family, her fur buddies Phoenix (a German Shepherd) and Pepsi (a Border Collie-Aussie Shepherd mix) and traveling.

She lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, 2 kiddos, and one cute but bad doggie. In her free time, you can find her in nature or reading Scandinavian crime novels.
